Charity Spotlight

Charity Spotlight

Awareness. Advocacy. Support.

As part of our commitment to “take care of our world”, and particularly giving back to our community, we wanted to find a way to make a difference. While we have been involved with the Children’s Miracle Network and Realtor’s Community Foundation of Edmonton for years and adore both groups, we realized that we needed to broaden the scope and that there were too many incredible groups in our city to narrow our support to just one or two. Thus, the #charityspotlight was born – a program that works with a local charities for a 3 month period, raising awareness about their programs/services and the people that they help.

We are believers in being blessed to be a blessing and our goal is to connect more people in our city to causes and charities that they may not have known about. We want to encourage Edmontonians to get even more involved in making a difference and to help them find organizations to volunteer with or donate to that fit with their passions.

We pick groups that we are passionate about and focus on these keys:
Local Groups
Homelessness
Hunger
Women
Children

Current Charity Spotlight:

Sport Central

Sport Central is dedicated to making resources available to assist needy kids in sport across Edmonton, central and northern Alberta.

Formed in 1991, Sport Central was created by community-minded individuals who wanted to see children in need have access to necessary sport equipment. As a volunteer driven, Alberta-based charitable organization, Sport Central provides sports equipment at no cost to kids in need. Generous donations of gently used equipment and volunteer time by Edmonton and area residents help make this one of Alberta’s most cost effective charities. Since it’s inception, Sport Central has provided over 125,000 low-income kids with safe gear, enabling them to participate in the sport of their choice.
